100 years of film stills exhibited at Louisiana

More than 500 film stills from some of the most remarkable films of all times will be exhibited under the title "Starlight – 100 years of film stills" at Denmark’s Louisiana Museum of Modern Art (13 October 2006 – 25 January 2007).
Visitors to the museum will be able to experience memorable images of the most intense moments in film, and to recapture the persona of characters like Harry Lime, Ninotchka, Mrs Robinson, Dirty Harry, Travis Bickle and Annie Hall. They will also have the opportunity to relive the most horrific, romantic, heart-rending, exciting, and crucial moments sealed on the silver screen.
The exhibition "Starlight – 100 years of film stills" is a cooperation between Louisiana and DFI’s Stills & Poster Archive, which has one of the world’s finest collections of film stills and includes some 2.3 million images.
