28 Awards for Danish Films

FESTIVAL. In the first quarter of 2016, Danish films have brought home 28 international awards and special mentions. Martin P. Zandvliet's "Land of Mine" tops the list with 10 awards.

In the first three months of 2016, Danish films have received 28 international awards and special mentions. Martin P. Zandvliet's "Land of Mine," which celebrated its world premiere in Toronto 2015, has received more than a third.

The most prominent award this year so far is Trine Dyrholm's Silver Bear, which she received in Berlin for her role in Thomas Vinterberg's "The Commune."

In addition to the 28 awards, Susanne Bier received an honorary award in Göteborg in February.
