18.05.2004"Between
Us" / "Mellem os", a short fiction film directed by Laurits Munch-Petersen
and produced by the National Film School of Denmark, has won a Student
Oscar, the Honorary Foreign Film Student Award of the Academy of Motion
Picture Arts and Sciences.



Together
with the winners of the award categories for US student filmmakers,
Laurits Munch-Petersen will be a guest of the Academy for a week of
industry-related and social activities, which will culminate in the
presentation ceremony for the 31st Student Academy Awards on 13
June at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater, Beverly Hills.



"Between
Us" has participated in the official competition of fifteen film festivals
worldwide, and is recipient of ten international awards, which makes
Munch-Petersen's film a record-breaker among student films at the National
Film School of Denmark.



Munch-Petersen
is currently in development with his first feature film, "The Ambulance",
to be produced by Nordisk Film. The film has been allocated financial
support (script and development) from the Danish Film Institute, film
consultant Nikolaj Scherfig.
