You can watch films, explore the bookshop, or relish an appetizer in the café. This and much more at the Cinematheque in central Copenhagen.

The three cinemas at the Cinematheque are named after leading figures in Danish film history: Carl (Theodor Dreyer), Asta (Nielsen) and Benjamin (Christensen). Here, we offer a rich programme of more than 70 films every month, many of which are in English or with English subtitles.

Also in the Cinematheque is the Film & Bookshop and the Café & Restaurant SULT where you can stop in for a coffee or enjoy a meal before your film.

The first floor is home to one of the world's most extensive libraries of film and television literature and the Videotheque, located in the library, with more than 1500 titles in the catalogue.
