The Danish Film Institute holds a collection of silent films that don't easily fit in with our primary platforms 'Danish Silent Film' and 'Denmark on Film'. The films, however, are far too intriguing not to make available for study and enjoyment. Find an overview of these rough gems below.

The films are international silent films, many in their surviving, fragmentary form. We show them as they are, in different language versions and un-restored.
Many have a rough quality, which is testament to how each surviving nitrate print is unique as an effect of the wear and tear of its screening and storage life.
