In the latest issue of the DFI-magazine FILM #53, online in English, Danish documentary films are brought to the fore, celebrating the occasion of seven films selected for IDFA Amsterdam 2006. The magazine features articles, interviews and a catalogue.
Three issues of the DFI FILM-magazine are published annually in English, prior to the Amsterdam, Berlin and Cannes film festivals, respectively.
Among the latest articles is an interview with Danish director Asger Leth, concerning his debuting feature-length documentary "Ghosts of Cité Soleil", selected for IDFA Reflecting Images. Leth's film, a devastating look at life and politics in a Haitian slum, has caught the eye of Werner Herzog, was an attraction at Telluride and Toronto, and was the opening film at cph:dox 2006.MagazineFILM #53
