Four Danish films at Karlovy Vary

FESTIVAL. "Northwest" by Michael Noer, "A Hijacking" by Tobias Lindholm, "The Expedition to the End of the World" and "Moon Rider" by Daniel Dencik are selected for Karlovy Vary International Film Festival (28 June-6 July).

Four Danish films plus two minor co-productions are selected to the 48th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in the Czech Republic, kicking off on Friday 28 June.

Michael Noer's "Northwest" and Tobias Lindholm's "A Hijacking" are selected for the Another View programme that displays films with unusual artistic approaches. In 2010, the two directors participated in the same section with their co-directed "R".

Karlovy Vary

Karlovy Vary International Film Festival is ranked by FIAPF as a category A festival and is considered the most important film event in Central and Eastern Europe.

Daniel Dencik has been invited to the festival with two documentaries: "Moon Rider" is selected for the Documentary Films in Competition, and "The Expedition to the End of the World" will be shown out of Competition.

Two Danish minor co-productions with east European collaborators are also selected for the festival. The Slovenian-Danish-Croatian feature "Dual", directed by Nejc Gazvoda and co-produced by Morten Kjems Juhl for Beofilm, is selected for the East of the West Competion, which focuses on young talents from Central and Eastern Europe.
