Dirty Harry Callahan – The Hoarse Avenger
"Dirty" Harry Callahan pushes the issue of vigilantism to extremes as he lays down the law and lets justice be done. Live or relive the 70s and 80s nostalgia of all five films featuring Clint Eastwood as the renegade San Francisco cop.

David Lynch – The Master of Paradox Returns
David Lynch's cult series "Twin Peaks" from 1990-91 set new standards for television drama and made the American director a household name overnight. In anticipation of the sequel coming out this summer, the Cinematheque celebrates one of film history's most distinctive figures and his return on the small screen with a series of screenings and talks.

Alan Rickman – A Tribute
Alan Rickman died in January 2016, but fortunately we can still enjoy his acting talent – and amazing voice – in a variety of films. While leading roles are few and far between, his many performances in supporting roles are often unforgettable. We commemorate Alan Rickman in January and February with a handful of his best performances.

Copenhagen Jazz Film Festival – Three Jazz Films
Three recent jazz films celebrate their Danish release at the Cinematheque. The Chet Baker biopic "Born to Be Blue" by Robert Budreau featuring Ethan Hawke will be screening in a unique double bill with Bruce Weber's famous documentary "Let's Get Lost." "Sound of Redemption " by N.C. Heikin portrays the equally infamous, but lesser known saxophonist Frank Morgan. And finally, leaning more on the side of avant-garde is German artist Telemach Wiesinger's collage film "Kaleidoscope." Read more on jazzfilmfest.com. Free Friday! – Stop Making Sense and After Hour Beers
Clock out and give your weekend a head start with a cold beer and good music in the Cinematheque's pop-up bar. On select Fridays we invite you to experience live concert footage with famous pop and rock acts projected simultaneously on three screens, starting with "the world's best concert film," the Talking Heads classic "Stop Making Sense."

Danish on a Sunday – Danish Films with Subtitles
Twice a month the Cinematheque presents subtitled Danish film hits or classics for our non-Danish speaking audiences. On the bill in January is Nicolas Winding Refn's English-language thriller "The Neon Demon," featuring Elle Fanning, and Nicole N. Horanyi's documentary film "Motley's Law" about a defence lawyer's struggle for justice in Afghanistan after the international troops have left the country.
