In The Indian Ocean a cargo ship with seven seamen is captured by Somali pirates, and an alarm sets of at a shipping company in Copenhagen.
From the shipping company's headquarters, the CEO is thrown into a psychological game in his efforts to bring the seamen back home safely, while negotiating the lowest possible ransom. Meanwhile the seamen are held hostage on their ship off the Somali coast – without any influence over their own fate, and slowly despair and desperation spreads among the seamen and their families.
How long can they stand the inhumane pressure, when they don’t know if help is on the way? How much are their lives worth? And how far does the CEO dare take the negotiations with the pirates in this cynical game of life and death … and money?
