Warm Danish reactions
'Forever' was highly praised at its domestic release on 7 July:
"With his low-key but powerful drama about grief and loss, Frelle Petersen proves himself as one of the most stylistically consistent directors of our time." (Berlingske)
"The film is, in a sense, an existential drama as grand as anything Shakespeare could have written, only without kings and wars." (Politiken)
"Yet another slow and understated masterpiece by Frelle Petersen." (Information)
"The beauty of the film is not least due to the fact that Mette Munk Plum, Jette Søndergaard and Ole Sørensen play absolutely fantastically in the leading roles." (Ekko)
