Good people
Director of darkly funny art-house dramas such as "Terribly Happy" (2008) and "Excuse Me" (2012), Henrik Ruben Genz is making his first English-language film with "Good People".
Starring James Franco, Kate Hudson, Omar Sy and Tom Wilkinson, "Good People" is a thriller about a couple deep in debt who find a hoard of cash in their dead neighbour's apartment. When they take the money, bad things begin to happen. Production: Nu Image/Millennium Films (USA) and Good People Production (England) in co-production with Eyeworks Fine & Mellow (Denmark).
The Danish angle
Henrik Ruben Genz is director, and DoP is Jørgen Johansson who worked with Genz on "Terribly Happy" and has shot a number of Dogme films and TV series such as "The Killing" and "Borgen". Otto Stenov is gaffer. Thomas Gammeltoft is co-producing for Eyeworks Fine & Mellow.
The Boy with the Golden Trousers
Emma Lemhagen is directing the children's film "The Boy with the Golden Trousers" which she also wrote. The story is based on a popular 1967 novel by Max Lundgren about Mats who finds an old pair of trousers which has pockets full of money. Production: Tre Vänner (Sweden) in co-production with Cosmo Film (Denmark).
The Danish angle
Kurt Ravn plays a central character, Peter Schultz is sound engineer, and Nikolaj Scherfig is script consultant. Post production will take place in Denmark. Rasmus Thorsen is co-producing for Cosmo Film.
The Golden Horse
"The Golden Horse" by Lithuanian directors Reinis Kalnaellis and Valentas Askinis is an animated children's fairytale about Antis, the youngest of three brothers who embarks on an adventure to free a beautiful princess. Production: Rija Films (Lithuania) in co-production with Paul Thiltges Distribution (Luxenbourg), Vilanimos Filmus Studija (Lithuania) and Copenhagen Bombay (Denmark).
The Danish angle
Petter Lindblad and Sarita Christensen are producing for Copenhagen Bombay who will be in charge of VFX and compositing, final online/grading and sound post production.
