New Danish Screen 10 years

SPECIAL EDITION. The talent development scheme New Danish Screen has been in existence for 10 years. The Danish Film Institute celebrates the anniversary with a special edition of DFI-FILM which includes more than 50 films made available to an international audience.

10 Years with New Danish Screen is the title of this special online edition celebrating the anniversary of the New Danish Screen talent scheme.

The edition, easily accessible from your smartphone, tablet or laptop, showcases more than 50 films made over the past ten years – by directors such as Mikala Krogh, Daniel Joseph Borgman, Daniel Dencik and Martin Pieter Zandvliet – and brings an essay by Jakob Kirstein Høgel, artistic director of New Danish Screen, and Robert Koehler, American film critic and programmer.

New Danish Screen’s role is and has always been to push forward the best talents by developing what they have to offer. The diversity of genres, methods and narrative styles has only increased in the scheme’s lifetime. Talents are not going to stop, so why not support them?"
Says Jakob Kirstein Høgel

Enjoy!

10 Years with New Danish Screen

About New Danish Screen

Through the New Danish Screen support scheme new generations of filmmakers are given the opportunity to push their limits and create new experiences for cinema and television audiences. New Danish Screen aims at making use of the energies and skills of talented creators, rather than guiding them in well-defined directions.

New Danish Screen is founded on a partnership between the national broadcasters DR and TV 2 and the Danish Film Institute.
