Four films to IDFA FORUM

IDFA FORUM 2011. Among the Danish directors presenting works in progress at IDFA's international financing market are Michael Madsen, who has brought his film "Into Eternity" on nuclear waste to festivals worldwide, and Janus Metz, director of the Cannes Grand Prix winner "Armadillo".

These are the four Danish projects selected for IDFA Forum where producers and directors meet with international investors to put the final pieces of the financing in place:

BREAK OF DAWN 

Iranian Sepideh (16) wants to become an astronaut. But at her age the nightly stargazing excursions in the desert are a dangerous thorn in the side of family and traditions.

THE EXPEDITION TO THE END OF THE WORLD

An arctic schooner heavily armed with art and science bound for the most spectacular nature at the end of the world. Manmade speed and efficiency confront the power of ice.

MERCY MERCY

For many childless parents adoption is a win/win situation. Unfortunate orphans are provided with parents and the childless are blessed with children. But behind the dream lies another reality.

THE VISIT

A philosophical doc-comedy and a concrete and scientific investigation of the scenario of an Alien visit. Do Aliens have human rights? What would we tell them about ourselves? And how?
