Armadillo wins Golden Eye

AWARDS. Janus Metz' chronicle from the Danish front line in Afghanistan takes home Best International Documentary at Zürich Film Festival. With the award follows a cash prize for promoting the film in Switzerland.

"Armadillo" was honoured with a Golden Eye award at Zürich Film Festival (23 September – 3 October). The jury hailed the film for its "overwhelming power in portraying the Danish soldiers stationed during six months in Afghanistan".

The award is accompanied by a cash prize of 20,000 Swiss francs as well as a distribution grant of 60,000 Swiss francs for the film's release in Switzerland.

Zürich Film Festival, running for the 6th time, presents a competition programme with films by young filmmakers competing with their first, second or third directing works. All competition films are world, European or Swiss premieres.
