Golden Globe nomination for "Everlasting Moments"

Jan Troell's epic love story "Everlasting Moments" is nominated for a Golden Globe Award in the category Best Foreign Language Film. The 66th Golden Globe awards ceremony, to take place January 11, is an annual event organized by Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA).In his review for Variety, Todd McCarthy writes about Troell's 'gift of seeing' as something he possesses in overwhelming abundance, and adds that "he has the talent to allow the viewer to see the souls of his characters and the salient details of the world they inhabit." Screen's reviewer describes the film as a rich canvas of working class life, a film that has "quality stamped all over it".The film is based on true events from director Jan Troell's family history. The cast includes Maria Heiskanen, Mikael Persbrandt and Jesper Christensen. The script is written by Agneta Ulfsäter Troell, Niklas Rådström and Jan Troell."Everlasting Moments" was screened at Telluride and Toronto Film Festival, where it was sold to IFC for North American distribution. In October the film opened to critical acclaim in Denmark.

A co-production between Denmark and Sweden, "Everlasting Moments", produced by Thomas Stenderup for Final Cut Productions, is the Swedish contender for an Oscar nomination. The Danish contender is "Worlds Apart". For further information:
