Four Danish films in Annecy

The International Animated Film Festival in Annecy starting June 9 will be showcasing four Danish productions."Shaman" by Luc Perez is selected for the short films competition and will be enjoying its international premiere. In a combination of acrylic on paper and 2D animation, the film pays tribute to Inuit culture with Greenland's legendary singer Rasmus Lyberth as the film's narrator. The short film "Office Noise" will be competing in the graduation films programme. The four directors Torben S. Kristensen, Lærke Enemark, Karsten Madsen and Mads Herman Johansen are graduates from the Animation Workshop in Viborg. The 3D animation is a humorous story about two co-workers, a pedantic rooster and a clumsy elephant. The Animation Workshop is represented in Annecy for the second consecutive year. The two feature films "A Tale of Two Mozzies" and "Amazon Jack 3 – Jungo Goes Bananas" participate out of competition. Both films were highly popular at the Danish boxoffices, and "A Tale of Two Mozzies" recently won the audience award at the Kristiansand International Children's Film Festival.

The production company Dansk Tegnefilm is behind "A Tale of Two Mozzies" and "Shaman", while Asta Film is the main producer of "Amazon Jack 3 – Jungo Goes Bananas".
