Jon Bang Carlsen's film is a rather special blend of fiction and documentary film. It started out as a documentary reportage about marine pollution, but developed into a poetic description of the life of a fisherman's family and the risks and expenses involved. It isn't strictly a drama-documentary in the usual sense, but the viewpoint does alternate between fact and fiction.
