The Father, The Sons and The Holy Spirit

97 min.DK/Documentary

"The Father, The Sons and The Holy Spirit” is an epic tale, filmed over 14 years, about two brothers, Henrik and Christian, who reunite in a struggle to secure their wealthy grandfather's inheritance. While Henrik tries to create stability and break the dysfunctional patterns of their family, Christian is driven by anger and hatred, which leads him into a right-wing brotherhood. The conflict between the brothers becomes a battle for not only money, but also for their children's futures, as Henrik's eldest son, Alexander, struggles to navigate the family drama without repeating his parents' mistakes. Spanning three generations, the film sheds light on the burden of social inheritance, money, and the individual's struggle to find their own place in life.
