Eddugle from Ghana has been living in Denmark for 8 years. He works at a warehouse by night and seen from the outside, he looks like a typical immigrant - trying his best to integrate. But Eddugle didn’t flee from a life in poverty. Instead – as a son of a ruler of 14 villages in Ghana - he ran away from complicated family relations and grand expectations. When his fathers dies, Eddugle inherits both title and responsibility. But is Ghana still his home after so many years? Filmen is a look into a Ghanaian immigrant’s journey from living humbly in Denmark to inheriting a Kingdom and a story about a man torn between two worlds whilst trying to find his own place in the world.
