What does it take for life to continue?
The fragility of life is put under the microscope in the closing hours of the cancer ward. By following a patient's radiation treatment underground, we gain access to man's concrete struggle to prolong life, in a high-tech hospital ward.
The Will to Live has been inspired by music as a genre and composes repetitions, verses, choruses and rhythm when hovering between scenes with radiation treatment and empty chemo rooms. The naive questions and poetic words invite the viewers' thoughts to escape to the sky and animate the emptiness of the images and the ritual of the radiation treatment.
