The Dreamer - Becoming Karen Blixen is the story of one woman’s struggle to find her place in life while freeing herself from the expectations of family and society. In 1931 Karen Blixen (46 years) returns to her childhood home in Denmark after many years in East Africa. She is destitute, sick and divorced and her dreams are in ruins. The series follows Blixen’s journey from her lowest point in life to becoming a renowned iconic writer. The series includes flashbacks to her years in East Africa and visualizations of her deepest thoughts as well as the magical universe of her stories.
