In a battered house on the edge of the forest opposite Sorø Station, fragile life’s are lived. The house is owned by Inger – but is inhabited by a motley crew of dreamers and drifters.
Some drop by for cups of coffee and to share the latest gossip, while others hang around year after year - waiting for any odd chance to get ahead.
80-year-old Inger is forever the center of the diverse group. The film follows her and the daily life in and around the house. It offers a loving look at the ups and downs that comes with being a fragile person in modern society.. and we are shown how mere love, care and acceptance can change it all – even in a little house on the edge of the forest in a small town in Denmark.
