The program describes the importance of the Sheikh families and the expansion of of Oil industry in The arabian Gulf. The sheikhs has obtained a new role in a country like Bahrein, e.g. How has the oil industry transformed the societies in the gulf countries? Most inhabitants lives in cities while pearl fishermen and beduins still are living in traditional ways. School children in modern arabic schools might be citizens in a future Pan arabic state. In any way, it is argued in the program, that lifestyles and cultural forms are changing in the Arabian Gulf.
