Dilmun [lang version]

Svend Aage Lorentz, Denmark, 1967

22 min.DK/Documentary

From ancient inscriptions on clayboards found in excavations in the Middle East, it has been known that a group of people living in a country called Dilmun once existed between the to well known cultural areas The Sumerians in Eufrat and Tigris and the Indus Culture. Where Dilmun was, was first discovered in 1953 when the expedition lead by Professor Glob could ascertain that the capital of Dilmun was located in Bahrain.Further evidence supporting the theory of the existence of Dilmun Culture is the finding of several hundred coinlike sealstones in 5000 year oldcities with temples and palaces. Through these sealstone findings a cartoon has been put together, which might be inspired by the first epic Gilgamesh.
