Alice’s heart starts pounding when her childhood friend Otto announces his return home after a long journey. Alice has long loved Otto, but a problem arises: a far wealthier and better-dressed rival also spots an opportunity to present herself as a good match. Alas! Poor Alice has neither the wealth nor the clothes to match such a suitress. Fortunately, her mother has an old wedding dress lying around that just might work wonders.
