The Return of the Denmark Expedition

The expedition left Denmark 24 July 1906 under the leadership of Ludvig Mylius Erichsen (b. 1872). The main task was to chart the coastline of North-eastern Greenland. Scientifically the expedition was a success, however, Mylius Erichsen, Jørgen Nikolaj Isak Brønlund (b. 1877) and Niels Peter Høeg Hagen (b. 1877) died in November 1907. The return to Copenhagen took place on 23 August 1908.
