The red thread

Piv Bernth, Denmark, 1989

79 min.DK/Feature

Farce and flat-out cinematic mayhem set the general tone of Denmark's all-time favorite pop vocal group Shu-Bi-Dua's embrace of the big screen. The story: Nazi Germany's gold reserve, kept hidden for 44 years in a Danish vacation home, is being pursued by a German and by a Russian-British-American trio of treasure-hunters, all of them clownish to the hilt. Also featured: Lots of Shu-Bi-Dua vocalizing.
