With dire straits suffered by farmers worldwide and with agriculture in general fast becoming the whipping boy of ecology alarmists, followed by tough and costly regulation-imposed counter-measures, a timely story is told of a pig farmer, his teacher-wife, and the crisis, financial as well as martial, that arises when disease hits the farm's livestock in spite of all health precautions taken.
