An old man, aided by a boy, attempts to escape death by fleeing into the night. Together they embark on a nocturnal journey of self-discovery and -reflection, where cross-cultural folklore and mythology collide with memory and experience, on the streets of New Yorks City. During their adventure, the pair are guided by the ghost of the old man's wife, a mythical prince, fortune-tellers and spirits of all forms.
