A semi-documentary, semi-feature film about the Danish multi-millionaire Hans Smith. He introduces himself as follows: »I am Hans Smith, I have made my millions on Substral, the fertilizer for flowers. I was born on the 5th April 1921, in Nørrebro, a working-class district in Copenhagen, the capitol of Denmark. Now I live in Beverly Hills, California, in the winter and in Monte Carlo in the summer. My wife is 25 years younger than I. I enjoy life. Heaven can wait.« The film is a tongue-in-cheek description of four days in the multi-millionaire's life, based on the reconstruction of episodes and remarks on which the director and Hans Smith reached agreement over a long period of research.
