"A Damn Year" follows three teenagers, with parents diagnosed with cancer. They are young, full of vitality and in the process of freeing themselves from their parents, but fully aware that they might be about to lose their mums or dads forever. They get on with their daily lives as much as they possible can: sports, parties and exams. But as opposed to their friends, their lives also involves chemotherapy, death and sorrow. In the film we get close to the teenagers and their families at this most crucial period of their lives. When you are so close to death everything gets intensified - conflicts and affections, confrontations and forgiveness.
