At a so-called survival school in the USA people are trained in the use of arms, close combat, ambush etc. James Jarrett, the head of the school and the main character of the film, has been a soldier in Vietnam, FBI agent and involved in CIA. He is convinced that everybody will fight against everybody if the world is hit by a nuclear war or if society is destroyed in some other way.
