Albert (35) is caught on the dilapidated family farm in Thy where his demented Grandmother still lives and today for her 80th birthday the family is gathered uniting their common traumas, their open secrets, and all the other mess. According to Albert hell is everybody else – as Satre once wrote. The only issue is that Albert is forced to relive the birthday party without even knowing why. Every time the party ends it starts all over again. Yet again he has to answer to his weird-looking hair and yet again he has to eat the inedible food. Albert moved away for a reason and now it seems impossible for him to escape. 'Helved' is a circular comedy of 6 episodes about family, identity and last but not least inedible food.
