A bittersweet comedy about Sophie, 7, whose parents give her a hamster called Jensen, along with the sad news that they are divorcing. On the day her Dad moves out, Sophie accidently hoovers Jensen up in the vacuum cleaner. Seeing their sobbing daughter and a hamster coughing violently, her parents postpone the move. Sophie realizes that as long as the hamster remains in distress, they'll stay together. After all, this is better than a removal van in the driveway. But Sophie soon wises-up to reality, when she hears her parents bickering.
