The citizens of Prague at work and at leisure - the city as it lives and breathes. The status of the Party, the bureaucracy, privileges and relics of bourgeois thinking. Through documentary footage the film also tells about the collective depression after the Czech spring of 1968 and the Russian invasion on the 21st of August that same year.
