Isabel is 20 years old and lives in Chile. But she has not always lived there though she was born in Chile. Her parents fled with her and her brother to Denmark when Pinochet destroyed the democracy of the country. When Isabel was 18 years old, she decided to return to her native country. Isabel is divided between two nationalities. She speaks and dreams in Danish as well as in Spanish. In the film Isabel tells about her difficult choices, her thoughts and hopes - and about her hard work of becoming a complete person.
