Jørgensen has been out of work for a long time. All through the winter he has had only one day of employment, shovelling snow. When spring comes, Jørgensen gets busy - looking for work. But he is turned away everywhere. Nobody wants a man who has been unemployed for so long. The film shows what the Government does to solve the problem of helping this man and his fellows to regain their former skill and their faith in life.
