Peter attend’s his son’s confirmation at his foster care family. His son, Jonas, has been in foster care most of his life because Peter couldn’t take care of him due to his addiction. At the confirmation, Peter is witnessing all the love and material things that the foster care family gives to his son – things that Peter could never give him. Peter never manages to give Jonas his gift and he ends up leaving without saying goodbye. Later that night, Peter is drinking at his usual spot, when Jonas calls him to let him know that he’d like to spend more time together again. Even though Peter is trying to hide the fact that he’s been drinking, Jonas can tell.
