Karen Blixen - Storyteller adds vital pieces to the jigsaw of Karen Blixen's (Isak Dinesen) enigmatic personality. The film includes hitherto unknown shots from the author's triumphal tour of the US in 1959, where she took part in talk shows and related anecdotes from Africa and Rungstedlund. A number of her close friends also appear: Thorkild Bjørnvig, a poet, Aage Henriksen, a professor of literature, Blixen's sister-in-law Jonna Dinesen, Knud W. Jensen, the founder of Louisiana, the celebrated museum of modern art, and Nils Carlsen, who was a boy at Rungstedlund. The Blixen mosaic is rounded off with old and new footage from Rungstedlund, and generous passages from her celebrated writings.
