Three Danish entrepreneurs aim high as they decide to produce a high quality cherry wine at a manor in the south of Denmark. The intense, dark wine receives fine reviews and praise from enthusiastic buyers all over the world. The film follows the three men and their unconventional business adventure to France and to Shanghai where rich Chinese buyers attempt to sell the wine as a noble "love wine". Back in Denmark, however, the dark clouds of the financial crisis are looming over the Nordic wine castle.
