Peter Elfelt, Denmark, 1906

2 min.Non-fiction footageSilent films

King Frederik VIII's visit in Berlin. Already in 1907 Europe was preparing for war. It was in the interest of Germany that England and France could not use Denmark as a bridgehead. Kaiser Wilhelm eagerly attempted to charm the Danes. However, his attempts were in vain due to the defeat in 1864 and the Danish minority south of the border.
