War Is not a Children¿s Game

Lizzi Weischenfeldt, Denmark, 1996

41 min.DK/Documentary

'I wish there had never been a war in our country and that everything was like it used to be - but it isn't.' These are words spoken by 12-year-old Dalibor. Dalibor was born in Bosnia to a Serb father and a Croat mother, but he lived alone in a refugee camp while the war raged in former Yugoslavia. It is hard, but it makes him strong to live with his big sister Daliborka, whom he loves very much. Dalbor and Daliborka are trying to live normal children's lives with school and play.
