Who is the stranger? Is it you? Or is it me? Alienation begins whenever one feels like a stranger to oneself. From there, you become situated acrossfrom another person, another country, another culture, another religion...The Film, The Last Stranger, investigates just this chain of alienation and offers suggestion for how it can be broken down. Twelve Scandinavians and twelve Egyptians speak right from the heart and directly into the camara. They are blended together. Images from here and there turn up, and vanish again. The feeling which lingers is one of desire. The desire for other people.
