Prepare for stormy seas! Lars Nørgård has returned to the laboratory of the moving image to create a world that seems familiar, but isn't. In his two previous animated films - Art Support (1994) and Æbleflæsk (Apple Pork, 1996) - the individual brush strokes had life physically blown into them. This time it's the turn of colours and computer animation, 3D so powerful that the dark, starry sky literally conjures up rusty old shanties in the background. Is there life out there? Well, there certainly is when the creator pokes his carrot nose into the groove and fills the universe with the kind of music that, like the single beat of a butterfly's wing in China, has calamitous consequences for the guard pig's summer cut.
