From the early summer of 1921 to the end of 1924, Knud Rasmussen undertook his 5th Thule expedition, famous of the opening of the nortwest passage between Thule and Alaska. Leo Hansen, a Danish camera man, was appointed to film the last part of the expedition. Rasmussen met Leo Hansen on November, 14th 1923 at Kent Peninsula in Alaska.
