Two years ago there was a clash between the elite of an anti terror police force and a group of protesting indigenous on an oil company¿s airstrip deep in the Peruvian jungle. A policeman is killed and the 'usual suspects', the indigenous leaders, are rounded up. They are charged with the severest of crimes, including murder, terrorism and violence. One of those accused is our main character: Fachin, hunter and leader. Under usual circumstances, the story would end here and the indigenous would rot in prison. But this time, a new self-confident generation of indigenous in collaboration with a clever lawyer from Lima and a local English pastor decides to take on the judicial system and fight back. They start to collect and produce evidence, in particular, video footage from before, during and after the clash.
