Short fiction film for children about 12-year-old Hanne who mixes the worlds of reality and dream. Hanne is going to spend the holidays with her grandmother in the country, and during this vacation her fascination for the unknown grows. Horses play a great part in the girl's life, she loves riding and dreams of horses and riders. She meets a boy of her own age named Thomas, and together they listen to the story of the headless rider who haunts the neighbouring ruined castle.
