An animated extravaganza of plastic collected from beaches, roadsides, attics and junk shops. Costing almost nothing, malleable to any shape, soft or hard, in all colours of the rainbow, it was the material of our childhood toys and also some of the most technically advanced mechanisms created by mankind. This film is an elegy to a love that lasted a hundred years and turned sour. It is the almost goodbye of the addict to their addictions – please just one more and tomorrow we will give it up for ever. This six minute experimental film is a development of Paul Bush’s pioneering technique of animated photographs and stop frame animation of objects.
