The young farmer Jakob has taken over the family farm. He has invested heavily in order to upgrade. But the financial crisis and the reduction in the price of pork and farmland means that he hasn't earned anything for three years. Besides he has run up a debt of more than 50 million kroner. One day his bank tells him they will only give him a loan for two more months. This leads him into a personal crisis. If the bank stops their support, his whole family will have to leave the farm and live with a huge debt for the rest of their lives.
