Shadow Boxer

Abdul, 19, is the most promising boxing talent
in Denmark. He is working his way up through
the ranks with former world champion Mikkel
Kessler as a manager ¿ and hero. In the club Abdul
is a boxer, but outside he is struggling to gain
footing. Pressured by religion, family and the
expectations of others, he is constantly afraid to
be a disappointment to everyone who trusts him,
especially his father. A coming-of-age story, the film
explores with great sensitivity a young man¿s inner
conflicts and his deepest feelings as they develop in
a heavily masculine environment.
